Sunday Afternoon

Sunday Afternoon was fun filled with Pimms and lemonade, sunshine and bicycle riding! Below are photographs taken from our day...

This strange structure belongs to the Alresford quarry but is now redundant. It reminds me of what could possibly be an image from Return to Oz. The small winding path behind me evokes a feeling of mystery... where will this path lead to?

Whilst enjoying our bike ride from Wivenhoe Quay to Alresford we discovered many enchanted places that you would never know exist unless adventuring away from the beaten path. Between both places there lies an abandoned, derelict church. The roof is completely missing so bursts of sunbeams pierce through the open arched windows. It seems as though the church has been lost and is in a dreamy state of disrepair. Aside from the ruined church it embodies a romantic feel and would be a great place to run a photoshoot. I am thinking runaway bride shoot, with lengths of beautiful tulle fabric sprawled through the yard and trailing from the window with the bride perched upon the sill. How dreamy!

At the end of the afternoon I enjoy a glass of ruby wine to quench my thirst. Delicious! How was your weekend, did you get up to anything fun? x
