Grow Your Own

Having neglected my plans for sprucing up my balcony for some time I have finally gotten round to growing some strawberries! I took advantage of the warm weather today and replanted my strawberry plants into a terra-cotta pot purchased earlier today. It is specifically designed for herbs and fruit so that the produce can grow down from each hole. I am pleased to see that I already have some ripened strawberries that need to be picked! I plan on using these to make smoothies to aid my healthy eating.

I have posted on here previously about apartment life and the lack of garden space so wish to share ideas on how to best utlise a small outdoor space. If you have any of your own ideas I would love for you to share them with me.

Fund 101

Well hello there! I haven't been around much on the blog front but have been very busy since coming back from Italy. Apologies for being absent for such a long time. I am making an appeal to anyone and everyone to help me achieve a grant of £500 to go towards moving my fashion business forward. So far I have been funding equipment using income from employment but £500 would give a much needed boost to help move things along more quickly. I have been hand knitting and finishing off projects so that I can knuckle down and get started on building stock for my online shop. £500 will go towards building a website to sell my garments and I hope to integrate my blog into the website so I can update it regularly.

My application for a £500 grant has been accepted by Fund 101 at Enterprise Nation:

To be awarded this grant I need 500 votes in total, one vote for every pound. I would really appreciate it if you could vote for my business and show your support for Paper Doll. As an incentive, anyone who votes and provides their name and email address in the comments field either on the Paper Doll webpage or on this blog, I will enter them into a prize draw to receive a cash incentive of £30. The winner will be notified once I have reached the 500 vote target.
